What is Functional Jaw Orthopedics?
Functional Jaw Orthopedics (FJO) is a specialty in dentistry dedicated to diagnosing and treating imbalances in the development of facial bones and muscle function, especially in children and adolescents. The aim of OFM is to correct these imbalances, promote harmonious facial growth and prevent future problems such as dental malocclusion, breathing difficulties, headaches and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems.
When is Functional Jaw Orthopedics indicated?
OFM is indicated for children and adolescents who present:
